Betty and Dorwin Robinson Endowed Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicant must be a current member of the Community of Christ Sierra Pacific USA Mission Center or the child of a current member.
Verification of membership must be provided by the pastor of the member’s congregation (only required for new applications).
Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a college, university, or trade school and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
The deadline to apply is May 31.
Scholarship Distribution:
The funds available for scholarships will be determined by the SPMC Endowment Board each year and will be distributed evenly between all applicants who qualify.
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college or university specified on the approved application. Disbursements will be sent prior to the beginning of the term for which they are applied.
Separate disbursements of funds will be made for the fall and spring semesters.
Verification of academic progress and spring enrollment is required for the spring disbursement.
If an applicant receives the scholarship and subsequently does not attend, the scholarship funds must be returned to the Endowment Board within 30 days of the first day of classes.
To be considered each application must include:
Completed online application (paper forms available by request)
Verification letter from applicant’s pastor (not required for renewal applications)
Verification of enrollment
Acceptance letter, or other similar documentation, for new applications
Grade report from the most recent term for renewal applications
